Wal-Mart is cutting about 11,200 jobs at its Sam’s Club warehouses. The chain is getting rid of
about 1,200 membership jobs or about 2 jobs in each of the 600+ Sam’s Club stores. Wal-Mart is also laying off 10,000 workers who demonstrate products in its Sam’s Club stores. A spokesman for Wal-Mart said the unemployments were not a cost-cutting measure because of a bad economy. He said that the 10,000 fired employees could apply for jobs with Shopper Events because they're planning to hire about 10,000 workers. However, Sam's Club still faces competition from Costco and other warehouse stores; earlier this month they stated that they'd be closing down underperforming Wal-Mart's.

It is said that the 33 billion more dollars being asked are more than likely going to be used for the expansion of war. It is said by a military official that the estimated amount of money that will be asked for 2011 will over 700 billion dollars.
